America Water Damage ("we", "us") runs americawaterdamage.com and the phone line (833) 504-0830. We are a referral service. We connect property owners with independent local restoration contractors. We do not carry out restoration work ourselves.
This policy explains what information we collect, why, and who we share it with.
What we collect
When you call us or send us an inquiry, we may collect:
- your name
- your phone number
- the address of the property
- what you tell us about the damage, in a message or on the call
When you call (833) 504-0830, our phone system also records the number you call from and the date, time and length of the call.
When you visit the website, our hosting and security providers may log technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. We do not use this to identify you.
Call recording
Calls to (833) 504-0830 may be recorded. We use recordings to confirm the details of your request, to check the quality of the service and to resolve disputes. Calls may begin with a short notice that the call is recorded. If you do not want to be recorded, tell us at the start of the call.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- understand what happened and where the property is
- connect you with an independent local contractor who serves your area
- follow up on your request
- keep records of requests and calls
We do not sell your information to data brokers.
Who we share it with
Independent contractors. When you ask for help, we share your inquiry with one or more independent local restoration contractors so they can contact you. That includes your name, phone number, property address and the details of the damage. Each contractor is a separate business. Once a contractor has your details, their own privacy practices apply to how they use them.
Service providers. We use providers for phone service, call routing and recording, and website hosting. They handle information only to provide those services to us.
When the law requires it. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry details and call records for as long as we need them to handle your request and for our business records, then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us not to share a new inquiry with any contractor. Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights under state privacy law. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Children
This service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
